Leicester Therapy - For all your Counselling Needs
Hello my name is Chris Parker. I am a BACP accredited psychotherapist / counsellor working in private practice. I work from my dedicated, safe, warm, non critical, non judgmental, accessible 24/7 counselling office space in the heart of Leicester on Granby Street. I offer face-to-face therapy sessions in LE1 online, telephone counselling in Leicester as well as home visits (additional charge) where appropriate for my therapy services. I've been a qualified and practicing therapist in Leicester & Leicestershire since 2021. I work with individuals and younger people. I offer a safe, confidential, non-critical, non-judgmental space from my office above the Leicester Coffee House Co. on Granby Street in Leicester. I consider client safety & confidentiality to be key focus areas in my counselling work, as well as empathy, being myself & acceptance.
I am a compassionate and experienced integrative therapist based in Leicester LE1 city centre, offering a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I have a deep commitment to helping people navigate life's challenges, I combine various therapeutic approaches tailored to each client’s unique needs. This integrative approach allows for flexibility and ensures that every session is designed to address specific concerns, whether rooted in past traumas, present struggles, or future uncertainties.
When working with me in counselling I provide numerous benefits, including improved mental clarity, emotional resilience, and a greater sense of self-worth. By working collaboratively, clients can uncover patterns that may be holding them back, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and build a stronger connection to their authentic selves. Whether you’re facing overwhelming emotions or seeking clarity in your life, therapy can empower you to take meaningful steps toward a more fulfilling future.
I have extensive experience working with a wide range of issues, including Addiction, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), BPD (EUPD) and the unique challenges they present. Through tailored therapeutic interventions, I am able to support neurodivergent individuals in understanding themselves better, managing symptoms, and fostering personal growth. By creating a non-judgmental and empathetic space, I can help support clients build strategies that improve daily functioning and enhance overall quality of life.
Another area of my work is working with individuals who have experienced childhood sexual abuse (CSA), childhood abuse, adult abuse as well as domestic violence. These deeply impactful experiences often leave lasting emotional scars, but through therapy, clients can find a path to healing and reclaim their sense of safety and self-worth. I use trauma-informed approaches, ensuring that sessions progress at a pace that feels comfortable and empowering for each client.
For those struggling with depression, anxiety, or low self-esteem, therapy offers a lifeline to rediscover hope and confidence. My integrative approach draws from various techniques to address the root causes of distress. By exploring the underlying factors contributing to these feelings, clients can develop tools to manage their emotions more effectively and nurture a greater sense of inner peace.
In addition to addressing specific issues, I am about fostering personal growth and self-discovery. Many clients come to therapy seeking to better understand themselves, improve their relationships, or enhance their overall well-being. Through compassionate guidance and a collaborative approach, I can help support individuals to unlock their potential and build a life that aligns with their values and aspirations.
Choosing to seek therapy is a first courageous step, and I am dedicated to providing a professional, empathetic, and effective service to all clients. Whether you’re dealing with specific challenges or seeking a supportive space to explore your feelings, I am here to help.
